Welcome to Counselling Psychology Glasgow!

I am a qualified, registered, and experienced Counselling Psychologist with two clinic locations: City centre, just off Buchanan Street, opposite Queen Street Station; and in the West End, just off Byres Road/Great Western Road. My work is committed to providing a confidential, safe, and empathic space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences free from judgement.

I work with adults and teenagers (aged 13+) who are experiencing psychological distress, emotional or behavioural challenges, life changes, as well as family and relationship difficulties. My empathic and trauma-informed therapeutic approach helps clients work through challenges and move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My practice aims to ensure that all clients feel respected, understood, and receive the personalised support they need to thrive. While specialising in low mood, anxiety, bereavement, adjustment to illness and other stressful life changes, I am also experienced working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and students. My approach focuses on helping you navigate life's difficulties with empathy and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Together, we can work towards personal growth, emotional resilience, and a healthier sense of self.

As a pluralistic practitioner, I utilise a range of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences. These include Person-Centred Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), as well as approaches informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

I also offer clinical hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to support the management of unwanted behavioural, emotional, and health difficulties, including smoking cessation. Hypnotherapy and EFT are integrated into ongoing counselling sessions. Please note that clinical hypnotherapy is available for in-person appointments only.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am a lecturer in applied psychology at the University of Edinburgh. My research focuses on mental health stigma and transcultural experiences in children and families. This academic work informs my practice, ensuring I remain up to date with the latest psychological theories and therapeutic techniques.
